When Sullivan was healthy he was built as a monster who could beat three WWE superstars at once. This wasn't a great use for him as I think he'd be far more effective as an enforcer for a heel where he comes in and dominates but does no talking, basically what AEW did with Jake Hager early on. That's a fairly simple solution.
But this misses something very important. Is Dylan Miley the most fascinating person in the WWE? Like, this is a man who is racist, homophobic, prejudiced against those with mental disorders, AND HE PERFORMED IN A GAY PORNO? I'm not trying to say that being in a gay porno is a shocking thing for someone to do, but to be post a bunch of hate-filled things on bodybuilding.com of all places, yeah, that part is going to stand out.
What if that was the basis for his WWE character? Like, I know what I am about to propose is not something that WWE could handle with any grace or sensitivity. But what if Sullivan played a self-hating gay man (Note: I am not saying Dylan Miley is a gay man, don't know, or really care one way or another) who couldn't come to grips with is own sexuality? It would make him mean and violent, and his uncontrolled temper would cost him ultimate success. Then, when he is able to finally be able to be honest with himself, he is able to focus his rage and become a champion. Unfortunately, something like this would take subtlety and nuance, so if WWE tried it, it would probably just be him sneaking peaks of dudes in the shower, but if done well, it could actually be an uplifting message.
Actually, let's just focus on the posting on Bodybuilding.com part and have him argue about how many days are in a week.
