Buffalo Bills - Love the first pick, not much after
Round 2 (54): EDGE AJ Epenesa, Iowa - It’s stupid he fell this far. He didn’t test well at the combine but had 22 sacks the last two seasons, and in 2018, he didn’t even start. Also, he’s dangerous rushing the quarterback from the inside and outside, total motor and strong as an ox.
Round 3 (86): RB Zack Moss, Utah - A lot of people really liked Zach Moss, not a great athlete, but knows how to use his feet and break tackles.
Round 4 (128): WR Gabriel Davis, UCF
Round 5 (167): QB Jake Fromm, Georgia - Jake Fromm does not do it for me. Even with Georgia losing a lot of talent, they are loaded with playmakers, and this guy would only throw short passes.
Round 6 (188): K Tyler Bass, Georgia Southern
Round 6 (207): WR Isaiah Hodgins, Oregon State
Round 7 (239): CB Dane Jackson, Pittsburgh
Undrafted - Trey “Inches” Adams - Washington Tackle who just wants a bigger dick.
Miami Dolphins - Lots of high picks, but a mixed bag of efficiency
Round 1 (5): QB Tua Tagovailoa, Alabama - I love Tua as a quarterback prospect. This may be the fifth pick in the draft, but if he can remain healthy, this is a steal.
Round 1 (18): T Austin Jackson, USC - Jonah, you loved Jackson, but then complained about the pick.
Round 1 (30): CB Noah Igbinoghene, Auburn - Really aggressive, still learning the position, so a ton of upside, but he’s raw, and I would expect A LOT of penalties early on.
Round 2 (39): IOL Robert Hunt, Louisiana - Never a bad idea to get offesnive line help.
Round 2 (56): DI Raekwon Davis, Alabama - Big defensive lineman who was a three-year starter at Alabama and is probably ideally suited as a 3-4 end. Had 8.5 sacks his sophomore season and had two total his final two seasons. Not a great athlete.
Round 3 (70): S Brandon Jones, Texas
Round 4 (111): IOL Solomon Kindley, Georgia
Round 5 (154): DI Jason Strowbridge, UNC
Round 5 (164): Edge Curtis Weaver, Boise State - Super productive defensive end from Boise State. 34 sacks in three seasons is insane, and I just don’t see how he’s not at least a third round pick. A huge steal for the Dolphins.
Round 6 (185): LS Blake Ferguson, LSU
Round 7 (246): QB/WR Malcom Perry, Navy
Undrafted - Ray Lima - defensive tackle from Iowa State who is good at eating up space. Definitely worthy of a rotational defensive line spot on a team.
New England - Boring as hell
Round 2 (37): S Kyle Dugger, Lenoir-Rhyne - Lenoir Rhyne - Big time athlete, but he has basically played against good high school competition. He was a man among boys, but can he be a man amongst men?
Round 2 (60): EDGE Josh Uche, Michigan - Edge rusher from Michigan who was never anyone I was really afraid of. He’s fine but not very exciting.
Round 3 (87): EDGE Anfernee Jennings, Alabama - Edge rusher from Alabama who managed eight sacks after not showing much as a pass rusher. Tough to get too excited about him.
Round 3 (91): TE Devin Asiasi, UCLA
Round 3 (101): TE Dalton Keene, Virginia Tech
Round 5 (159): K Justin Rohrwasser, Marshall
Round 6 (182): IOL Michael Onwenu, Michigan
Round 6 (195): OT Justin Herron, Wake Forest
Round 6 (204): LB Cassh Maluia, Wyoming
Round 7 (230): IOL Dustin Woodard, Memphis
Undrafted - J’Mar Smith - QB from Louisiana Tech - the next Tom Brady?
New York Jets - Questionable early on, got some late steals
Round 1 (11): T Mekhi Becton, Louisville - Louisville tackle that is absolutely massive, can move well and is good with run blocking but he’ll have to refine technique in pass protection. People freaked out about his combine, but all he did was run the 40 and lift, and he didn’t even lift well. I know he’s heavier, but Tristan Wirfs combine blows away Becton’s, and Wirfs showed more on tape than him as well.
Round 2 (59): WR Denzel Mims, Baylor - Wide Receiver out of Baylor. After Corey Coleman let me down, I’m forever down on Baylor receivers. I know it shouldn’t factor in at all, but I can’t help my simplistic brain.
Round 3 (68): S Ashtyn Davis, California - Good safety prospect out of California.
Round 3 (79): EDGE Jabari Zuniga, Florida
Round 4 (120): RB La’Mical Perine, Florida
Round 4 (125): QB James Morgan, FIU - Quarterback out of Florida International who struggles with accuracy.
Round 4 (129): OT Cameron Clark, Charlotte
Round 5 (158): CB Bryce Hall, Virginia - Virginia cornerback whose stock fell big time after a season ending injury halfway through his final season. Otherwise, he would have been picked by day two, if not day one. Plenty of size.
Round 6 (191): P Braden Mann, Texas A&M
Undrafted - Lamar Jackson - Not a Quarterback, but a CORNERback out of Nebraska. He’s very big, but not very good.
