Why Hasn't Anyone Signed AR Fox?

Before the pandemic hit, it seemed that anyone who had any bit of potential was being scooped up by WWE, AEW, Ring of Honor, Impact, and New Japan. And despite independent wrestling being raided for talent, there was one name that always shocked me that he somehow didn’t get a big time organization contract, and that man is AR Fox.

I have been lucky to see AR Fox about a dozen times since he wrestled quite a bit down in Florida. Every match I have ever seen him in has been somewhere between very good and holy shit, and it isn’t all competition as I saw him against less than stellar competition with a crowd of like 15 people at a Style Battle in New Port Richey. Of course, when the competition is stellar, like the time I saw him against Matt Riddle, that’s when he can produce those holy shit matches.

But it’s not like he’s new to the scene. The guy has been awesome for a long time. The first time I saw him was at the WrestleCon Supershow back in 2015. I saw him team up with Jushin Thunder Liger and Ricochet to take on Roderick Strong, Frankie Kazarian, and Christopher Daniels, which, holy shit, that’s a hell of a lot of talent, and the guy I was most impressed with was Fox. He wrestled a hellacious pace and managed to outshine freaking Ricochet.

Over five years later, he’s still putting on awesome matches, running a wrestling school in Atlanta, and outside of a brief stint in Lucha Underground, he hasn’t gotten a real shot at showing what he can do on a bigger stage. He’d be an incredible addition to any organization, and it is absolutely baffling that it hasn’t happened yet. So for all of you wrestling executives reading this right now, remedy your mistake sign AR Fox before your competition does.

XFAlpha Podcast Notes - XFL, NFL, WWE Releases, and Best States

Just in time for the NFL Draft, we have an episode where we break down what we are hoping for our favorite teams, the Vikings and Bears respectively, do with their early picks in the draft. We also give our thoughts on Donald Parham's fit with the Chargers.

As for non-football, we get into where the recent wrestlers from WWE would fit best as well as finally figuring out what Jonah thinks about all 50 states, because I needed to figure out his hate. Still, we start positive with the top five, and by pick five, the man was clearly just blindly reaching for states that he didn't totally hate.

The WWE Is Ruining... Matt Hardy

The WWE excitedly signed The Hardy Boyz away from the Broken Universe and promptly turned them into their old characters that had gotten stale a decade earlier. After they had squashed any momentum they would have had going in, they did let Matt Hardy briefly resume the character that made him so popular in Impact Wrestling, but they then teamed him up with Bray Wyatt and let everything die out before there was any sort of big payoff.

And now he has continued to exist. The Hardy Boyz won the tag titles but they were stripped of those when Jeff was injured. So now it is a giant pile of nothing for Matt Hardy.

Usually, I would say that Hardy has had a good run, and the WWE should really focus on the younger talent they currently have on the roster, but due to a change from a couple months ago, the Broken Universe finally makes sense to blend with the WWE Universe.

That change is the 24/7 Title.

The 24/7 title can travel all around the world, in and out of the wrestling ring, and there is no better place for it to be defended than the Hardy Compound. Imagine the incredible opportunities that this would provide as the most ridiculous title needs the most ridiculous backdrop for it.

Let Hardy be the longest reigning champion as he continually beats challengers who come to the compound. Then, when R-Truth or Drake Maverick finally get the pin on Matt Hardy, it’s revealed that he hasn’t been the champion this whole time.

And then the WWE Universe can be introduced to King Maxel, their new 24/7 Champion.

WONDERFUL!
